The Northeast has four seasons. Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall. In the Fall the leaves on the trees change colors. They are bright red, yellow and orange. The sky is often blue. The days are warm and the nights are cool. In the winter the climate is cold and wet. Sometimes there are storms that bring lots of snow and ice. In the spring the air warms up and the trees and flowers begin to bloom. The summers are hot and humid. Many people go to the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.
There are many different plants and animals that live in the Northeast. Along the coast tall grasses grow. In the forests are many different kinds of tall trees and wildflowers. In the mountains there are many different kinds of berries that grow.
Seagulls and other water birds live along the coastline. There are lobsters and clams along the shores and cod and other fish in the oceans and rivers. In the forests and mountains there are black bears, rabbits and many other kinds of animals.
