Introduction to Fencing

For those that would like to buy their own equipment, there are a
number of companies that sell fencing equipment of varying quality.
If you are most interested in buying an Italian foil I would suggest
going to www.thefencingpost.com
and looking in the foil area under
classical fencing. The complete foil you should buy is #FF81. I
also like American Fencers Supply.
They are a little more expensive but the quality of the gear is good
and I've always been treated well by them. You may find other vendors
on the list at http://www.usfencing.org/Contacts/Corporate.asp.
For a French setup you may look at the starter sets at http://www.blade-fencing.com/.
I'd suggest the 5 piece econo starter set as it comes with a bag to
carry your gear.
