1. Safety reasons.

        a. In order for person x, who lives in the middle of the Navajo Nation, to get an alcoholic beverage, x would have to travel 100 plus miles. Should x decided then to drink at the border town, where x purchase the alcohol, then travel back to x's home. X is then endangering his/her life in the chance of a vehicle crash. Yet also, x is endangering the live of other that travel on that same road. Thus, if the distance between x and the alcoholic product is shorten we lessen the chances of an accident.

2. Money reasons.

        a. Put a heavy taxation on all alcohol sales and use those funds to support organizations. Such as, Mothers Against Drunk Driving or Na'nizhoozhi Center Inc.

        b. Or fund other things like schools, hospitals, or police.

3. Health reasons.

        a. Lessen the use of bootlegging products, such as the "ocean". And other mix drinks.

        b. Lessen the selling of bootlegging products.
