The Wildlife Society will be hosting an informative booth during the Lumberjack Village festivities on Saturday, August 28. All are welcome and invited to attend and/or staff the booth. Please contact us if you can help

Adobe Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center

Hopefully this Fall they'll be bringing up some animals to one of our meetings! Stay tuned...

Raymond Ranch Winter Trip

Our clubs relationship with the fine folks (and Bison!) at Raymond Ranch is a strong one, and there will definitely be another opportunity to go out there this Fall and help out with some of Dave Belitsky's amazing and progressive wildlife projects once again.

More to come!

Announcements:

The Wildlifers Forum is up and running (click here!). Come join a discussion, post an animal sighting or start a conversation with a friend!

The end of the semester BBQ was a great success! Thanks to everyone that attended and helped out! To those that could not make it, we missed you and there is always next semester!

We had a great time again at Raymond Ranch II. This time we planted some root plants around the native fish pond and into one of the many canyons, we also seeded a water tank. After the day of work we had a great night sitting around the campfire, thanks to Dean who again provided the music. Thanks to Chris, Emily, Dean, Anna, Mayra, Amanda, and Jason for making this a great weekend yet again.

Volunteer Help:

Hay Lake Wetlands Restoration Tree Planting Project and camping trip has been postponed until the Fall due to unforeseen circumstances, but it will still be happening (we promise!), and we'll keep you posted!

Would you like to work with Wild Turkeys, Pronghorn Antelope, Bald Eagles or Bats? Or help to install Elk exclosures? We have opportunities to help in all of these projects for the Fall/Winter! Contact us if interested.

Old members and new, please let us hear from you by signing our Guestbook!

Are you interested in wildlife? The outdoors? Meeting new people?

Then The NAU Wildlife Society is right for you!

Membership in The NAU Wildlife Society is open to anyone. Becoming a member is as simple as attending a meeting, deciding that you are interested in joining and paying only $5 for semester dues. Once you are a dues paying member, you are eligible to participate in all club activities (anyone can come to meetings, but only members are allowed to enjoy field trips and other outings that we put money towards). Our members have the opportunity to attend our group excursions, the annual New Mexico - Arizona State Wildlife Society meeting in February and vote in the spring elections to choose the next year's officers.

So, give it a try. Take a walk on the wild side and see what we're all about. Check out our window outside the Biology department office on the 2nd floor of Building 21 to find out when our next meeting is scheduled, and look for our fliers (the ones with the Squirrel on them) that we hang up everywhere!

Need more out of the Wildlife Society?

There are also professional chapters out there that need your help and support!

or the Western Chapter:

The Western Section of TWS

And the National Chapter is also just a click away at:

The Wildlife Society

Also there is the:
