 Upcoming Events:

Raymond Ranch Winter Trip

Our clubs relationship with the fine folks (and Bison!) at Raymond Ranch is a strong one, and there will definitely be another opportunity to go out there this Spring and help out with some of Dave Belitsky's amazing and progressive wildlife projects once again.

More to come!

Announcements:

The Wildlifers Forum is up and running (click here!). Come join a discussion, post an animal sighting or start a conversation with a friend!

The bowling party was fun and a great success! Since the Forestry club did not show, we are champions for another year! Thanks to everyone that made it possible!!

We had a great time again at Raymond Ranch III. This time we planted some root plants around the native fish pond, seeded the shoreline, and placed rocks into some run-off trenches to prevent more erosion. Before the day of work we had a great opportunity to see the Bison up close and personal, with-in 20 yards at one point! Of course Friday night was again a great time sitting around the campfire getting to know everyone and listening to the smooth sounds of Circadian Rhythms! Thanks to Dr. Theimer, Chris, Emily, Dean, Scott, Neal, Micah, Steve, Seth, Caley, our 2 newest members Lauren and Stephen, and of course Cinder the wonder dog for making this yet again a great time!!

Volunteer Help:

Hay Lake Wetlands Restoration Tree Planting Project and camping trip has been postponed until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances, but it will still be happening (we promise!), and we'll keep you posted!

Would you like to work with Wild Turkeys, Pronghorn Antelope, Bald Eagles or Bats? Or help to install Elk exclosures? We have opportunities to help in all of these projects for the Fall/Winter! Contact us if interested.

Northern Arizona University's Student Chapter of the Wildlife Society represents the national guild of wildlife professionals known as The Wildlife Society.

Our mission is to expose students interested in wildlife to many unique educational opportunities in an effort to provide more fulfilling and enriched learning experiences while at NAU. Bi-monthly meetings provide a forum during which the membership can enjoy a guest speaker's presentation on a current issue, make plans for future activities, discuss ongoing projects or reflect on recent experiences. Additionally, meetings bring members face-to-face with many valuable professional contacts.

Membership in NAU's Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society also offers the chance to work on research projects, volunteer in the community, enjoy recreational outings and interview notable wildlife professionals. Our membership is not limited to biology, zoology or wildlife management majors. In fact, our members come from various backgrounds and have interests beyond wildlife and the outdoors.

The Wildlife Society provides a common bond that brings us all together and allows us to share our experiences with each other. Whether you are looking to form relationships with your peers, seeking volunteer opportunities, searching for fun or in the market for information about wildlife, you can find it all in The Wildlife Society.

Please sign our Guestbook and let us know you're out there!
