Hello every one. I’m Samuel and a member of the UTV62 street team. Why am I a member of the street team? Well it’s quite simple actually, it’s my job. I chose this job because it peeked my interest. Also, I’d like to work for some position with a broadcasting station after I graduate. Well guess what; this job rocks!

If you were to pick a job at UTV as well, you would be picking up major experience working here. It looks great on your resume too. UTV is student run, so you would be working with NAU companions. It’s a lot of fun and the people are great too. The managers don’t mind if you make a couple of mistakes. But that doesn’t mean you are off the hook. It is a job and you are expected to do what you need to do.

Screen on the Green PDF Print E-mail

Wednesday, September 17 UTV62 hosted “Screen on the Green” in Mckay. After finding out that we couldn’t play a movie without paying an outrageous amount of money, we settled on a public domain movie: the classic 1925 Charlie Chaplin film “The Gold Rush” In the film we are introduced to the Tramp aka the Little Fellow who has ventured into the wilderness to find gold. He meets an array of characters, both good and bad, and he even falls in love with Georgia, the dancehall beauty. Throughout the movie we share in the Tramp’s hardships and joys, trials and tribulations. We also witness two grown men become so hungry that they are forced to boil and eat a boot! Although the movie is filled with lighthearted scenes and witty remarks, it is much more than just another silent film. We can all relate to the Tramp’s life, even if he is a made up character The Gold Rush” was a great choice and I am glad that we had the opportunity to share it with some of you. Hopefully, you weren’t too distracted by the Koolaid, chips and candy to become an active viewer and to really see how the movie related to you. Thank you to those who did venture out into the cold, smoky night in order to watch a true classic. If you have any input on what we can do better next time, feel free to contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
