Research
My master’s
research focuses on the evolution of silicic magma chambers as recorded by
zircon crystals within rocks erupted from “supervolcanoes”…the Long Valley
Caldera in California, Yellowstone, and Toba in the Phillipines.
Geologic
Interests
I am
interested in the formation and evolution of the continental crust,
specifically silicic magmagenesis, magma chamber processes, and pluton
emplacement processes, as well as extensional tectonics…especially as
exemplified by metamorphic core complexes and the Basin and Range Province.
