Lady Adrian Drake

What, you might ask, does Drake mean? The answer, of course, is dragon. If there ever was a dragon lover, it is Adrian. What, you might then ask, is loveable about a dragon? Probably about the same things that are loveable about Adrian. If you fall against her you’ll run into something sharp, but you won’t fall over. When she bares her teeth it’s frightening, but you’re not at all confused about how she feels for you. If you find a fire, she’s most likely nearby and if she’s sleeping, you’d better not tickle her.

If one were to ask Adrian how many of her it would take to change a light bulb, she would answer, “Light bulb? Who needs a light bulb? They're so fragile and difficult to handle with claws. I have fire...much better. We dragons can light fire with a mere sneeze.” Luckily, however, a dragon’s aversion to electronic lighting does not include all other forms of technology. The thing Adrian does most often every day is check her email… she also draws pictures of dragons, builds web-pages full of dragons, practices fencing so that if she ever encounters a dragon she can impress it with her skill and drinks tea in a mug with dragons on it (okay, okay, don’t look at me like that. I know there aren’t dragons on the mug, but I was one a roll there…). Then there is the issue of chocolate, but that would take days to fully explain.

And in case you were wondering, the only reason a horse is not as good as a dragon is because it cannot fly, or blow fire I suppose. Teiwaz is the name of the not-quite-so-little-now, not-exactly-a-puppy-anymore creature that runs around with Adrian most of the time, and in case you were wondering, all the more impressive and refined aspects of her personality (the dog… not Adrian) were instilled by me (when I was helping to raise her) and all the bad habits she has picked up since I left and cannot be a reflection upon me whatsoever. I would say that the best way to upset Adrian is to mess with her animals… and they are all teetotalers.
