Group Rules
Remember that your participation in the group is essential for the success of the group and also that your participation is a course requirement. The first person listed will be the Group Leader for the first assignment. Upon completion of a group assignment the Group Leader will assign roles for the activity following.
Group Roles
Group Leader
Your responsibility is to assign the roles of the members of the group. In
addition, you will lead the group to write the text to fulfill the assignment
based on the discussion board and on the online meeting. Once the group
has completed the text, the leader should submit a copy to the instructor
via email.
As a leader you will send an email to the instructor with an evaluation of
the performance of each group member.
Please use the evaluation rubric below:

4 Above average
3 Average
2 Below average
1 Minimal contribution
0 No contribution

Presenter
Your responsibility is to facilitate the discussion on the Group Discussion Board. Start a thread in the Group Discussion Board and make sure that all members of the group are aware that there is a new thread in the Discussion Board.

Observer
Write a reflection on the participation of each member in both the asynchronous
(Discussion Board) and synchronous meeting (Virtual Chat room). Include in
your reflection a discussion on what worked well and what could be improved
the next time.
Use the rubric for evaluation (in the Team Leader description) to evaluate
the role of the Team Leader.
Email your reflection and Team Leader evaluation to the instructor.
Note: When there are only three people in the group one person does both
the Observer and Commentator roles.

Commentator
Your responsibility is to facilitate the virtual chat, and to coordinate
the meeting time.
Notify the instructor about the virtual meeting time.
Once the virtual meeting takes place, write a summary of the meeting.
Email the summary of the meeting, as an attachment, to the instructor.
