Instructor notes:
1. Recap salient ideas from the discussion board
2. Possible questions for discussion:
I don’t think that you can buy, sell, lend or borrow ideas. So why shouldn’t I just use ideas/materials that already exist?

When I read something I would like to know if what I read is based on other material that can help me expand my understanding of the topic

If somebody else, someone intelligent and knowledgeable has already found very good solutions or conclusions on a topic why can’t I use their knowledge to advance my own knowledge?

Repeating what somebody else says doesn’t mean that I know. I learn only when I really understand and I am able to express somebody else’s ideas in my own words.

What should we do about plagiarism? Is plagiarism an important issue in academic life or not?
