What is the Psychology Club?
The NAU Psychology Club welcomes students from all disciplines and backgrounds who are interested in psychological issues. In conjunction with the NAU chapter of Psi Chi, the Psychology Club sponsors a variety of events including speakers on a wide range of topics, activities and field trips, culminating in the annual Arizona Undergraduate Research Convention. Psychology club is an academic organization whose members are mostly psychology majors or minors (however, membership is open to all members).
The club prides itself on being very active. Each year, we hold several fundraisers to support club activities. We co-sponsor seminars and workshops for students. We also participate in community service (for example, this year we plan on working with Habitat for Humanity). Each year we organize and partially sponsor trips to major regional and collegiate conferences, allowing our members the opportunity to attend professional presentations, socialize with others in the field, and to get to know other students and professors, away from the school setting. Finally, we take charge of the social activities within the undergraduate psychology department. We sponsor the annual Christmas party, the spring picnic, movie nights and more. So if you are on campus, be sure to check out the Psych Club!
