Joint! 11
POT101*
As taught on St. Patrick's day 2003, Groningen.

This is going to be a step by step instruction path to learn how to roll a European/Dutch joint as I have learned it here.  I hope you will all try it.  So, class is now in session.

This is about how much weed you need to have for the joint.

Here I have licked the cigarette along the glue line weakening it.  Then I carefully tear it in half as you see, then peel it away so the glue strip is torn out, this will free the tobacco for the mix.  You do not have to do it that way, I just think it looks the coolest so of course I have to do it. :)

This is obvious, mix the weed and tobacco.

This is a small piece of a light cardboard, start off by folding it like this until it is like an M-shape.  Then roll it around that M.

It should look more or less like this when you are done.

Here is an important step.  First with the paper, you want to flip it over.  I'll explain.  Take it as you would normally roll a joint, then flip the paper so that the glue is no longer on the far side facing you, but is on the near side facing down.  You can see the glue here on the top of the paper.

Here it is rolled in on itself like you would a normal joint.  But don't keep rolling, stop right when the glue is underneath the start of the rest of the paper.  Here with the yellow line you can see the glue side (now facing up) underneath the paper, which is the green line.  Hold it there.

Now the fun part.  Make out with your joint.  I haven't figured out how to look cool doing this yet, but it still works.  What you need to do is to like the glue part (green line from above) through the paper (yellow line).  This will get the glue wet enough to still stick to the paper, but from the inside.  Once it's licked, pat it to let the glue stick more.

Here you pack with the filter of the cigarette into the joint.

And here you pack more by tapping the joint against a table.

Clicking here will get you a video that is about 6 megs in size.  This shows the final part of the joint rolling process.  Which involves holding the joint and burning the excess paper from it, and then lighting it up.  I'll try to get some pictures of the process later for ease and so the video won't have to take up that much of my space.

Enjoy your joint!

*In order to receive credit for this course you will have to practice and roll a joint for the instructor when such a time becomes available.
