Well we departed from the Credit Union with only five brave souls to count. We arrived at the end of our driving destination at about 8:00 at night. We took a bit of a wrong turn and didn't quite find the right side canyon to enter Wet Beaver Drainage with. However we made our way down the next morning and were able to drop over and side hill into Waldroup Canyon, the correct canyon to enter the drainage. We encountered our first pool at about 10:00. I think this first pool is seasonal and was only there after the big rain. We swam and hiked our way down through a rugged and sweet canyon. We enjoyed an awesome lunch at a cascading pool with a built in shower massager. How ever we could not spend all day screwing off as we had countless more pools to swim. Around 5:00 or so we encountered the log jam which seemed to have moved from 1999. The easiest way around it is to climb up on creek right above the sandstone and walk around it. However it is possible to swim up to it and climb over it, though I don't know how bright of an idea that is. We finally made it out to Bell Crossing at about 8:00 or so. I have yet to finish this hike in sunlight and I would recommend it as a two dayer if you have the time and motivation. After Bell Crossing you still have about three miles of trail to walk to get to the Trail Head. We did this with a full moon and warm weather; it was definitely a sweet experience. We finally ran the shuttle and made it home by about midnight. Tip: Always have whiskey for the end of a hike.
