Wilson Mountain This is a really popular hike. It takes you from the bride north of Sedona, to the top of Wilson Mountain. The hike up is the best part. It takes you up the side of a sandstone amphitheater. You go up a great trail until you hit the saddle. From here the trail is more in the forest than in the open sandstone desert. Once you get to the top you are completely in the forest. It is hard to tell when the trail stops up top. Just keep hiking until you feel like turning around. Last time I was on the hike I say a cool yellow rat snake on the trail (non-poisonous). |
