Loy Canyon Long drive to trailhead. Lower Loy Canyon is open and nice, but the main attraction is looking for ruins and pictographs in the many side washes - there are some really cool sites. At the head of Loy Canyon the trail climbs 1000+ ft to meet the Secret Mountain trail in a saddle (about 5 miles). Left turn takes you a short distance to a parking area, but a right turn brings you in a few more miles to a variety of good but dry campsites w/ FABULOUS views. |
