Wow, what an interesting week. I moved up from Japanese level 2 to level 3 at my school, and its a big jump. Much more intensive Kanji studying and reading comprehension. Just where I want to be! Last semester was difficult because it was all review. My placement test put me in Level 2 and by the time I realized it was below my level, it was too late to switch classes. So now I am finally able to move up and I'm so glad I did. I really love a challenge and pushing myself to my limits. My head hurts from all the new words and expressions I'm learning, but it's a great feeling.
This may hurt my grades, because I am honestly behind the level of the other students and the teacher of course will not compensate for me (which I like). I've decided that learning as much Japanese as I can is more important than what grade I get.
