Hey Guys!

Hey dudes and dudettes, just wanted to give you all a quick update on my life here in San Diego.  I am currently doing an internship with my home church, Canyon View Christian Fellowship (cvcf.com) as their Creative Arts Intern.  It's been a great experience.  I am in charge of the Friday/Saturday taping of services for our multi-site churches and our podcast. I also produce short videos for the sermon and website.  I'm also producing the Video Podcasts.  It's been such a blessing and I can't wait to be back among my Crusade homies, however, I'm not too excited about the return to Flagstaff.  The beach is hard to beat.  If you guys want to check out some of the stuff I've been working on, you can check it out on our video page at cvcf.com.  Hope you're all having a blast this summer.

Peace,
Michael
PS I'll be in Flagstaff for Sean and Michelles wedding on the 16th, any dudes wanting to split the cost of hotel can give me a call at 8583421342 or e-mail michael@cvcf.com

Notes and Bolts

Hey guys!  It's your former side admin (and current designer… as far as I know…) here!  I just realized that Internet Explorer (**#*$** IE to us web-geeks) seems to have fixed a problem with its box-model that made us have to build extra hacks to make it look like it does in *every other browser*.  So, I had to un-IE-hack the site to get everything working how it was supposed to.

If you didn't understand that previous paragraph, you're probably not alone (I tend to ramble in geek-speek…my apologies).  In short, I'm sorry if you had some trouble browsing the site.  I don't know how long it was "broken".  But it should be fixed now.  Please make sure your browser (IE of Firefox etc…) is up-to-date.

God bless!  and let me know if you see any more problems….

-Your humble designer

GREETINGS

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone has had a great winter break and an awesome first week! This winter break has been full of a lot of amazing things and I can't wait to hear all about them from everyone. Tonight, Thursday Jan 18, we are having crusade at our normal time. It will be short since we are not having worship but will be awesome to have everyone there to start off the semester. Other news, we are having an event tomorrow evening, (Friday, Jan 19th) at 7pm. It will be a game/movie night at Andrea's house. Bring games, movies, and snacks! If you are uncertain how to get there, do not fret! It is only two miles from campus. Call Andrea, or myself, for directions or just show up at the info desk tomorrow at 6:30pm. Hope to see everyone tonight!

In His Loving Name,

SD Winter Conference

Six NAU Crusaders repped' it up at the 2007 San Diego Winter Conference.  Jen, Michelle, Christina M., Matt, Sean and I took the conference by storm.  Speakers included Mike Erre, Jaeson Ma, Dr. Michelle Lee, Dr. John Hannah and many others.  Travis Taylor provided an amazing worship experience and a day of outreach saw seven people come to Christ throughout the San Diego area.  New Year's Eve was celebrated with and 80's themed "event" which featured dancing, fun and fellowship.  We even danced with some random girl named Jenny (yeah, we're that inclusive). February brings a conference for Destino (the hispanic ministry of Campus Crusade) and summer projects are now accepting applications.  If you want more information on summer projects, visit gosummerproject.com.  Orlando anyone?  That's where I'm applying.  It was great fun, and we hope to see our numbers grow exponentially like they did this year.  Oh yeah, and Randy, you're lame for not going.  Lame.

Two Roommates Needed!

Hi Crusaders!  Good to see this site is being updated with events and stuff.  Good job Sean.  Anyway I will be in need of two roommates for the Spring semester.  Both of my roommates are leaving, and I don't really want to get stuck with two random roommates.  So if you know any Christian men who also need a place to stay, please have them contact me at ecm33@nau.edu.  I will be staying in Raymond Hall, and many other Crusaders live here too.  Thankou.

Creation V Evolution Seminar

November 16th

Hey Everyone! Just a reminder, as we are now in the month of November, that we will not be having the normal crusade meeting Thursday, November 16th. Reason being is that Campus Crusade, along FCF and other ministries, are hosting Russ Miller, an expert in the topic of Creation vs Evolution. He will be sharing facts about creation and how these facts contradict everything Evolution stands for. This will be a great topic but also a very controversial one with NAU's location and the students on campus. I will be bringing fliers on Thursday so people can help pass out and promote this special event. If people could also be in prayer for God to move on this campus, bring His revelation to the student and faculty body, and hopefully bring many to His name. Thanks again and don't forget to put this date on your calendar. It starts between 7:30 and 8pm and should last about an hour and a half. God Bless You All!!

Bible Studies

In 1 Timothy 1:5, Paul writes, “but the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” This verse describes our ultimate goal for instruction, and we covet your prayers that this verse would be true of all of the different Bible study groups in Cru at NAU this year. As Randy, Christina and I prepared for this year’s Bible studies, the Lord laid it on our hearts for each group to be studying the same book of the Bible…

New Colors

So, if you haven't noticed, the site has a new color!  It turns out that if you don't have your monitor calibrated (it's okay, most people don't) there was a good chance that the white text on the yellow was difficult to read.  This new color should make things much easier on your eyes.  And it's still pretty bright and stuff too.

Updated About Page

I have updated the about page with some information regarding donating to Campus Crusade for Christ at NAU.  So, those of you that wish to send us money (or have parents who do) can go check out that information .  Sorry it took me so long to get it up here.
