WHAT IS SEXUAL
ASSAULT?
Sexual assault takes
many forms. It includes not only intentionally or knowingly
engaging in sexual
intercourse or oral sexual contact with another person without
that person's consent,
but also includes non-consensual penetration of any part of another person's
body by any part of the perpetrator's body or with other objects. Any form
of nonconsensual touching may be punished as sexual assault or other crimes (NAU
Safe Working & Learning Environment Policy, Appendix L, 1995-96 Student
Handbook, Arizona Criminal Code 13-1401).
